What are you thankful for?

In Psalm 50:23 we read…
23 The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
to one who orders his way rightly
I will show the salvation of God!”
Some days it’s easier to give thanks than others. But as God’s people, there is always
something that should prompt thanksgiving to God. I’m thankful for Jesus and all that
He has done for me to be able to be in a relationship with God. I’m thankful for Celia
and my children. I’m thankful for you. What are you thankful for? Spend a moment in
prayer and offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving!
Also, I’m thankful to God for the Thomaston family. As you may have heard, Jim has
taken a job in Colorado. This has been a prayerful journey for them as they sought to
discern where God was leading them. Jim’s last Sunday leading will be Sunday,
November 3rd. Shannon will continue to lead our worship music through Sunday,
December 8th. Then her and the kids will be going to Colorado to spend winter break
with Jim. The Thomastons have been a blessing to our church. Jim has led us faithfully
in worship each Sunday through music. Shannon has been a blessing in helping Jim
with the music and in her teaching in our Awana program. They will be missed and I’m
thankful for the time I was able to spend with them. When you see them over the next
few weeks let them know how thankful you are for them and that you’ll be praying for
them as they take this next step of faith.
In Christ,
Pastor Ron Jones
